OK, ive been at school for a while, and my X has been overheating. I got it home, and the guage went up and down a lot. It was always above the medium level, but never got to the red line. There has been plenty of antifreeze in the radiator and the resivoir. My best guess is that the thermostat has gone bad. If not I want to replace it anways. Does anyone know how to replace it? Any tips would be great, Thanks?

Follow your upper radiator hose to the block, the metal pipe it goes into covers the t-stat. Take the two bolts out and it will come off. Other than that just clean the mating surfaces and install a new o-ring and t-stat.

Be very carefull not to strip the threads when reassembling. You may wat to use a loc-tite product on the bolts.
