I have been running my stock shocks with my SOA setup. I have my shocks mounted to the existing swaybars mounts. I was wondering what shock lengths to go with? Here are my choices in the 255/70 valving they offer. I will be ordering the adapter for the upper mounts that bilstein offers.

1) BE5-6248-H5 extended 25.93" collapsed 15.91" Travel 10.17"
2) BE5-A465-H7 extended 28.01" collapsed 17.00" Travel 11.00"

Does anybody have a Rancho part number that they are running in the rear with SOA that has actually flexed their rear to the max and is satisfied?

I take it you guys are going to make me do it the hard way? I guess if noone lets me know, i'll have to go take the shocks off and flex the vehicle to it's max.

BE5-6248-H5 extended 25.93" collapsed 15.91" Travel 10.17" <- what i used to replace the stock ones. but the key is where you mounting the bottom mount? you have to flex it out after that and measure it up

and i am sua by the way they may work cause they limit my upper travel by an inch.. but it keeps it from rubbing the inner wheel well.

Do you have the part number or link to the bilstein upper mount adpater? I have been looking for one for a while.

I am thinking of the adapter to connect the upper shock mount of the shock to the upper shock mount on newer explorers.

i made my own.. heres an idea that i was gonna used. jeep bar pin eliminators.. just never got around to measure the distance on the stock shocks and calling.. just an idea

yes, the Bilstein part number for that adapter is 423472. That is the number I got from bilstein.
