I liked my first dual friction clutch. Even though the transmission guy said it was a way to heavy duty clutch for the tranny. After I tore it up I went with just a normal Centerforce clutch and haven't looked back yet. What ever you get I highly recommend Centerforce.

dont cheap out, do order in advance. i just let mine go and go before i had no choice. then i drove all around with a buddy to buy the ford oem parts (about 210) to do it in his garage. well, 11 hours in a cold garage in jan. later, i decided to drop it off at the trans shop. btw, american trans on ford rd in garden city did it for about 550...i dropped it off by noon and had it back by dinner. my only regret is that i didnt go centerforce, but hey..nobody had it in stock.

Go with the single friction CENTERFORCE like Derrick C. mentioned. The dual friction is for high horsepower and is way overkill. I had alot of clutch problems with my ranger. It was replaced every year until I got a CENTERFORCE. I ran that for 5 years up until I sold the truck a few months ago and it was still good. Well worth the money! By the way I bought mine at 4WP for like $225 back then.

thats about what they run now. unfortunately some of us dont think enough ahead to order BEFORE we need it.
