I've had a noise that sounds like it's been coming from the passenger side, almost like in the dash not really sure, it is only when I turn on the fan for air/heat the sound is there in any postion vents/floor/defroster or if the car is extremely cold. The thing that confuses me is...its pitch/whine is louder when i acclerate and slows down with me laying off the gas. So my question is wtf is this coming from!?!?

You sure it ain't the IAC making noise? Then again you said passenger side so that can't be it.

Could be your blower motor going bad.....

yea it's defiently coming from passenger side, lynch i'm lost on stuff under the hood, what is the blower motor and if it is going bad is there a way I could check to make sure it was for sure that? If it was bad how much are they?

I have the same problem with my 1999 ford explorer sport and it is driving me nuts !!!

mine just started to do it now without the heat/air on, usually at night though never when it's hotter then 60 out...this is really annoying and the only defense i have is to blast my music...which is not an option at 11 p.m. HELP!!!

Could it be the A/C compressor going bad?? Does it make the noise at idle?

The blower motor is the fan for your heat and a/c.

no no noise at idle. but any time I acclerate I hear it, never when it's around 50-60 out though, usually at night when it's colder or in the wintertime.
