I'll be honest, my Xplorer don't get to go off road much but yes I do do it. It was bought more for the severe cold winters here and the lack of street cleaning and clearing.

I'm thinking of getting the shocks done in my X because she doesn't seem to have a nice ride unless i'm on really smooth pavement with mild bumps.

she gets a bit jittery over multiple bumps and just doesnt have that new car ride to her. (well i know i wont achieve off the showroom floor newness! :) )

so who has these shocks and what do you think of them?

thanks,

leo

Even though Rancho claims a smooth street ride, RS5000s are more at home off-road. I have them, and I still feel every bump in the road. However, I bought them for the purpose of 4x4ing. Off-road they perform fairly well.

they are not the best shocks but they will make you happier then what you have. i have them in the rear and they work just fine, i wanna try the new pro comp shocks they seem pretty nice...

I have been running them for about 3 months now and love them... I was running Explorer Pro Comp ES3000s before I switched to the Ranchos and the 5000s are better off-road, but the ES3000s were a little smoother on-road... averall, the Ranchos are nice and I would buy them again... my $.02.
