As of today, I need a new power steering pump, radiator (it is leaking), alignment job, and the tires need rotating...I carry plenty of distilled water in the bed of the pickup in case I need it (every 200 miles), and the guys at Grease Monkey are only too eager to keep the Power Steering fluid handy. I'll have money to fix these components in early February - the money's tight, and I gotta 'wheel!

I am not fixing my truck for thaven, well, if i had my license, it would be fixed... but since the incentive isnt there to fix it, she just sits without a roof :(

I just got back from the Saturday run, and it was a total success. There were somewhere around 30 or so vehicles, and two separate runs for the Big Dogs and the Lil' Pups. I ran w/the lil' pups, and we had a good time overall. Desert Spive had some CV issues with his frontend that he was able to take care of this evening so he could operate his pickup for the Sunday run. TDavis blew a rear ring/pinion, so he wasn't able to 'wheel his Sami, but there was no carnage and everyone had a nice smile on their faces. There'll be a full writeup once Rick & Char return to their home in Arizona...

Tom wasn't too happy about this happening. His Sami sat on it's trailer all day today...

Oh, and this group of four 2WD lifted full-size Chevy pickups showed up to do the trails and in the sort of terrain they were in, well, lets say they needed the help of some Fords to get unstuck. The stuck Chevy guy declined, and his 3 buddies helped them out before parking their Chevys for the remainder of the day and playing it safe...

Ah, then I will not use this as ammo..................Tom can be a bit ruthless when he is in a good mood................don't want to see him when he isn't "too happy"!

Glad you guys had a good time!!!!!!!

Robb - we all had a great time, and everyone was smiling around the camp fire tonight. My Skyjacker springs allowed me to 'wheel without my tires banging into the fenders constantly, but because my swaybars were disconnected, I didn't have any problems articulating.

The truck that blew my mind was FAWKREE's Navajo. It had a straight axle with King Coilover shocks, and 37"x12.5R17" BFG Mud KMs, and everything was set up for high clearance, and it just looked bulletproof and ready for anything. It was much more low key than Ricks Pumpkin, but it's subtle look and straight ahead engineering just blew me away.
