I need to find a C4 transmission to go into my 1992 Explorer. As many of us who search know, a C4 can be bolted to a C5 bellhousing and bolted to the 4.0L V6.
Everyone seems to say that a case fill is needed; that the pan fill simply 'won't work'. Well, why won't the pan fill work?
Are there issues with attaching the C5 bellhousing to each case, or does the pan fill C4 not physically fit in the space?
Also - I'm not afraid to modify the body if it is just a space issue...
