No offense to Sport Trac owners, but I don't understand why they seem to command twice the price over a regular 4-door (or 2-door) Explorer? I guess it's the small plastic truck bed, which would be occasionally useful, but they were only available with the less-reliable V6 and it's less-reliable automatic transmission (or the manual 5-speed). If they were available with the 5.0L I think they would be much more desirable. I guess their increased value is for the same reason that a running clapped-out pickup truck is work more than a clean sedan (because you can do "work" with a pickup) but for the limited increased utility a Sport Trac offers, I just can't see paying $5000+ for a V6 with 200k on it. JMHO.

I agree. Been wanting a red Adrenaline for several years. The asking prices have scared the beejesus out of me. I also share the same concerns over the powertrains.

I don't get it either,,.
they're not that great as far as drivetrain, and if they were the 5.0 they would be worth the expenditure,,
Don't get me wrong, i would have sure liked to have found a decent one that wasn't priced out of the market as far as i was concerned,I do have all that lift kit and such just sitting here, and it would look awesome on a Trac,

But for the money i spent, i got a 2008 Ranger in very good condition, for a lot less than any Trac i saw in my area,, , and hey, the Superlift fits,, so i may use it,,,
