Why is Ford letting the cars stack up at the plant?

My car's been "on wheels" for more than 2 weeks according to my dealer. Is someone joy riding around the plant parking lot in it??? :feedback:

I have a time constraint, and my deal could go south if it is held up much longer.

I had a time constraint also, my dealer did the paper work and the deal prior to the car getting here... Might want to ask them if they can do this for you also.

Thanks. I'll ask about that. Of course he's going to have to pick up the payment until the car actually comes in. I'm sure not going to pay for something I can't drive ;)

Finally!

I found this this thread and joined this forum because our 2011 Explorer Limited delivery was "delayed" from the plant. It was built January 31 and originally scheduled for delivery February 4. We live about 20 miles from the plant and our dealer is about 30 miles from the plant. Our dealer has about 30 Explorers that they are waiting on for delivery.

Our Explorer was delivered late Friday night March 11 and will be ready for us Monday March 14. Rather than a safety or quality issue, our dealer said it was a parts delivery failure, "just in time" parts delivery was not just in time. We will be saying good-bye to our 13 year old XLT with 115,000 miles, hoping that our new Limited serves us as well and as reliably. I hope everyone here gets their new Explorers in short order.
