One of my friends has a 1986 Ford
Ranger with a 4 inch Superlift kit on it. He blew up the motor (302 !!) and is putting leaf springs up front. I got the lift from him for free hoping it will fit on my 94 Explorer. The brakets look like they should fit and if they are close i can make them fit. (Currently employed at a 4wd shop) Let me know what you guys think

is the ranger the kit came off of a 4x4?

welcome little redneck.... the ranger kit may fit... but i am not too sure.... rockranger on this site has swapped in a dana 35 into his older ranger... i think... so this is why i think it is possible..... i am not 100% sure again, but i am pretty sure.....

a ranger lift should work im sure with a little work you could make it fit.

It should work fine as long as the ranger had the D35 and not the D28, otherwise you might have to do a little more fabbing. Should work though.

An 86 ranger is definantly gonna have a d28. The only thing i worry about is that the brackets are gonna be smaller than they should be.
