So when I am driving on the highway there is a large amount of wind-noise from the driver side of the ex. Passenger side is quite as can be.

Is there a normal failure area for weatherstripping? Should I be looking for something that normally goes wrong?

I have looked all over the different weather stripping areas and it all seems in one piece.

I was just hoping someone with prior experience of this can hook me up with the knowledge.

Any ideas would be great thanks crew. :salute:

First check that the door is aligned properly.

roger that.

Ill search the site for tips on making sure its gtg.

No issue with alignment.

I think it might be the weatherstripping on the driver side body.

Its quite loud when you are driving down the highway. The passenger side is much quieter so I no its not "just normal"

Any ideas or has anyone else had this issue?

Window go all the way up ? Try cycling the window up and down and check for gaps...Is the door latching all the way ? No door ajar lights ? Or do they not work ? Use some soap and water in a spray bottle spray on the outside with the door closed(window up) while some one is inside...Check for leaks that way...

Compare the 2 front doors...

Does the drivers door close with more of a thud or rattle? If so, like my Sport, the drivers weatherstripping/door gasket is worn and compressed...

To fix this I laid an additional layer of self stick weatherstripping onto the original door gasket...Tightened up the "feel" of the door and stopped wind noise I was having...Plus I also added sound deadener inside the doors, floor, cab, and roof for enhanced noise control...

But that is another story...

your weather strip is not sealing properly.

From the Ford Workshop Manual:
Place an index card or a piece of paper between the weatherstrip and the sealing surface, then close the door. Slowly withdraw the index card or paper after the door is closed and check the amount of pressure on the weatherstrip. There should be a medium amount of resistance as it is withdrawn. Continue around the entire seal area. If there is little or no resistance, this indicates insufficient contact to form a good seal. At these points, the door, the glass or the weatherstrip is out of alignment.

Whats the best place to get a new piece at?

I looked on rock auto and only found the bolt on pieces.

i believe the piece that i have the issue with is the one that is press on all the way around the door.

I am thinking about maybe taking it off and rotating it maybe the compressed portion wont make as much noise near the bottom instead of by the front top half of the door by the side view mirror.

I've seem them listed on RockAuto for around $35. Did you look under "door/seal weathertrip"?

Ill look again maybe I missed it.

$26 Im a dumb dumb and just missed them last time i looked.

Mine was doing that around window stripping. Did fill it with clear silicon sealer....
