window and lock switches lighted?

'94 XLT
Just purchased a '94 Explorer XLT and am wondering if the switches on the doors for the power windows and locks are supposed to be lighted 'cause mine ain't!

Unfortunately I don't think they had them light up till the 2nd generation X.
