First off, my explore is a 98. This is kind of a weird problem because the colder it gets outside the worse the problem becomes. When I go to lower the window it acts like it rocks in the window channel. Its like the front part wants to go down and the back does one. If I hold the switch they will go all the way down. If I let off the switch when it happens, I can pull the back of the glass down in line like it should be, then it will go down fine. It does this on both the front does only, not the back 2. I've never had the door panels off so I don't know what it looks like in there. I can only think there must be some plastic piece or something worn out in there. If someone had a pic of the door panel off that would be great. Any help would be appriciated. Like I said, when its warm out it does not do this, only when it turns colder.

Thanks
Ryan

might need cleaning and grease, plastic parts. rubber, and grease do not like colder temperatures

Anybody have any pics with the door panel off so I know what i'm getting into?

I also had a problem with the door windows in my '01 Sport (only 2 doors). Passenger door I had repaired at Stealership, was under warranty, They found, after greasing the hell out the window, that there was a Rivet that had broken in the regulator. It could be that's what is going on with your '98.
