Windshield Wipers Died. All I hear is a clicking noise when I turn the multi function switch. I assume this is the relay switch trying to start the motor?

Would this be the wiper motor that has died? Any advice on what to check?

Thanks

Being that this is winter and you are in Canada, before you go nuts troubleshooting, have a look in the cowl area under all the little holes by the windshield. Just take a flashlight and make sure there isn't a bunch of ice in there.

One time I was driving and I turned the wipers on to use the squirter, and they got to the middle of the window and stopped. There is a circuit breaker for the wipers, and heard that go click.... and then it resets and keeps trying. I quick unplugged the motor, and then I got a bucket of hot water and poured it down in the cowling, problem solved.

If its not that, then you can try tapping on the motor with a screwdriver handle and see if it starts working again.

Otherwise the fault could be in the motor, module, or the switch.... I don't have the service info handy but someone might.

Great info! I'll report back on what I find. It has been snowing non stop up here and REALLY cold!, so it could be ice.

Thanks!

it could be frozen or the arm that moves the wipers may have come off the motor,, as above , look in the cowl,,

Wipers working again! poured a couple buckets of hot water and tapped the motor with wrench. Thanks for the tips!!
