So I changed my oil, put a new air filter and new fuel filter in and now it won't idle and occasionally cuts out(looses power) for a second on acceleration, like from a stop light. It starts up fine and then drops below 500 rpm at idle(normal is about 600-700 rpm at idle) and dies if I don't rev it. Runs ok above 1000 rpm and drives fine except the occasional loss of power for just a second. Any ideas what the problem could be? I'd like to get it fixed this weekend if possible before I start work on monday. Its the Ex in my sig. Thanks.

MAF sensor or IAC.

I'd try cleaning out both of them. If the old filter let in a lot of dirt, that's probably the problem.

After what DjDom suggested try simply unplugging the negative battery terminal and turning on the headlight switch and leave it like that for about 15 minutes. Leaving the headlight switch on will drain any residual electricity in the vehicle, thus resetting the computer. I always do this when installing new parts, or cleaning the engine (sea foam and what not) so the computer can learn the new changes.

just a thought, but changing your oil and fuel filter shouldn't have an adverse effect on your idle. did you install the new fuel filter facing the correct way?

I'll try cleaning the sensors. Koda, yes I put the new fuel filter in the correct way.

I cleaned both the MAF and IAC and also tried the trick minimac stated, none of it did anything. I noticed I had some oil in the intake so I'll have to replace the PCV vavle to see if that fixes that but its still not idling. When I start it, it'll go to about 600 rpm(normal) then jump up to 1000 rpm then just drop and die. It starts fine. Any other ideas what could be the problem?

drop in or cone filter?

Your signature states your vehicle is stock but did you happen to install an oiled air filter? If so, the oil fumes can contaminate the MAF sensor element.

You might also check the MAF sensor electrical connector. Maybe it was disturbed when you changed the air filter.

StreetRod, I put in a regular paper filter. If I had disturbed the MAF connector it got fixed today when I cleaned it. I guess the thing that bugs me the most is that this all just happened. It wasn't acting up for a couple days before hand or anything.

Once I knocked the rubber y hose off the iac while doing an air filter replacement. It is hard too see in there and took me a while to find it. Symptoms matched yours.
