As stated in another post, I am considering doing a BL, but unfortunately have no idea how to fab brackets for bumper relocation - don't know where to go or what to do. If anyone would be willing to fab some brackets, I would gladly cough up the $$ for services rendered. Figured this would be a great way for others who have been hesitating to go for it, and help another member out with a little extra beer money... any takers?

lol I need some made too!

I KNOW there's got to be a good number of people who need this... could be a good side business for anyone with the skills... Back when I used to drive an import there was a guy who custom-made sway bar brackets for those who chose to upgrade their suspension. Found him through the forums also...

i'm another person in need of these, sooner the better, thanks

well who is interested in these, cause i called a parts guy who is a friend of the family and he recommended a guy, so i'm going there tomorrow so he can give me an estimate on making these, i'm using the templates that are floating around on this site, printed them out in real size so he has a real good idea of what we need. will get the price and let everyone know.

so start a list up and i'll see if he will do a group buy or something

also what would be an ok price range to have these made, i've seen that preformance accesssories when they sell just the brackets its almost 40 bucks, so is anything under that sound good?

Ya i'd be totally down to pay that much...I think if you order them from PA its like 13.92 or something and I'm not even sure if that inculdes both fronts and then another 13.92 for both of the backs! I have paypal ready...sooo...lemme know!

Well Guys I do some side work in a machine shop and if theres enough intrest i can probable fab some up...its not that bif of a deal to do it. So let me get an idea of how many people want these and ill see what we can do. of course it would be for a 3" BL only

Chris

Ok..I'm not sure about you guys but I need both front and back...Am I supposed to use any of the bumper brackets that came in the 853 kit??Cuz I don't wanna buy an extra set if I can use the ones in the kit...

like i said i'm going to get the quote from this guy tomorrow so i guess we can match that up against what anyone else can do it for, right, sounds fair to me, i don't think we need to take new measurements, its for the 2nd Gen 3"BL, the templates are on the site somewhere, i have both, if anyone needs them emailed, but like i said will let u know asap after i find out.

yes i'm getting front and rear, cause the 853 kits doesn't match up with either, the 883 kit front brackets work i've heard, but not the rear, so ya, hope i have all that info right

OK like I said i went in tonight to see what i could do and was able to draw it up on Autocad and enter into the CNC at work. Its looking good so far. Like I said if i could get a list together of who would be interested then I can go ahead and fire off a couple of these. Also Price would be determined by how many people had intrest in these.

They ones i used are the plans that were posted on the site here. They would be for a 2nd gen 3 inch body lift buy would probably be able to go ahead and do them for a 2 inch if needed. Let me know Guys.

I'm definitely in.. and got paypal too.. wish there were some way to get this idea out to the other members on the site... this could be big

ok, went and talked to the guy today, he said 30/a set, front and rear, and can make as many as needed, so i'm not sure how much these are going to weigh, obviously they won't be that big to ship, prob just wrap them up with padding and tape, sound good to everyone??

i'm guessing prob 8-10 just cause of weight, but someone correct me if i'm wrong,
who wants them for sure and i'll call the guy back so he can make more, will be ready by the end of the week, if u let me know by sunday nite, so i can call him monday morning , my paypal is JPA1982@aol.com, so i guess pretty close with the 40 to your door price in one of my earlier post

so $40, to paypal JPA1982@aol.com and i will have them shipped out friday.pm me once u do paypal so i know for sure how many.

Jared,
will you have any pics? No offense to you or the manufacturer, but I'd like to get a look at them before putting any money down.

u want pics of the actual product or of the design?? i won't have the actual finished first set for a few days,
if u want pics of the design, i can find them for u, they are on threads somewhere, or i can email them to u. let me know

pics of the finished brackets, if at all possible. I'll do a search for the template.

ya i'll get u a pic asap once i get them in my hands, he is going to call me once they are ready.
whats ur email??

k, well sorry forgot to take pics, cause i put them on the truck, but jenn(Mendoca00) has them off still, so u might want to ask her what she thinks of her set, good luck guys

well fi you guys only need a rear bumper braket you dont need one...

take your bumper off and take the mounting brakets for the bumper off and swap sides on em... then take the bumper and line it up using the top mounting hole only and bolt it back in place. then when your bumper is where you need it tighten it down and take it to a local exhaust shop and have them weld you 2 or 3 beads where the mounting braket touches the frame rail and you have a more sturdy than stock rear bumper that is located where it should be for a 3" BL.
