I currently have a 97 XLT V8 and was thinking about upgrading to a 99 Mountaineer V6. I found a really good deal on one that has everything mine doesn't. Leather, sunroof, and 29,000 miles compared to 53,000. what I was wondering is if my brush gruad would fit on the 99. Any help would be great.

i thought all mountaineers came in the V8 trim, i guess i was wrong. it should fit, i think they are the same gen, but i could be wrong.

Beginnning in '98 the SOHC became the standard Mountaineer engine (maybe '99?). Before that, the V8 was standard.
