3.25 HP @ 3969 RPM
ROFLMAO!!!!
WHO in their right MIND would spend that kind of money for what K&N found to be a 3.25HP increase.
You're 4.0 will really be a neck-snapper after this mod!!!
3.25HP couldn't pull my zipper down!!!

Umm, it's not rocket science, just simple arithmetic (and for $30, it's a steal!!). Mine paid for itself long ago.
A regular paper filter around here costs $10-$15. We'll call it $10 for this discussion. I had to change mine every 6,000 miles, but lets say, just to be conservative, you go 15,000 miles between filter changes.
That means that every 15,000 miles, you're spending $10 on a new filter. Over 105,000 miles, you purchased 7 filters, totalling $70 and have had to change 7 filters. Now, if you drop a K&N in there, and even if you buy the $10 recharge kit, in that same 105,000 miles, you have, at worst, invested $60, and again, at worst, recharged the filter twice. Last time I checked, $60 was less than $70.
Now, lets say that you change your filter every other oil change like I used to (for me, every 6000 miles I used to change paper filters). Now, over that same 105,000 miles, at $10 per filter, you've spent $170 on air filters, compared to $60 on the K&N with a recharge kit. The K&N paid for itself three times over, and that's if you're getting a cheap $10 paper filter. If you're buying a $15 Motorcraft, the paper filters were costing $255 in 105,000 miles...
As opposed to those of us that are 'out of our right mind' and ised a K&N for $60...
Thanks, I'll stick with my K&N. I'll clean it every 50,000 miles or so... If I feel like it. Maybe someone in their right mind can help me figure out what to spend that extra $200 on...
