Well my 97xlt SOHC needed all the recalls ALL OF THEM. I took it to Rizza ford in Chicago and after alot of
self control and a few arguments, the dealership said they would cover all the recalls even though I only qualified for the throttle body one. They then told me that I needed a new mass air flow sensor to stop the CEL. They choked that one down too...VOLUNTARILY.

Just remember STAND YOUR GROUND
Thanks guys and gals for all your info through this BULL%#*&. It is very appreciated.

OH YA even gave me a loaner!!!!!!

well almost a month later the ford dealer has my truck ready, they did all 5 service option recalls. They had to take the whole engine out to get to some of the problems,( chain tensioner guide ??) I have had a loaner the whole time.

Just go's to show - you never know...

OH YAH they also paid for a new mass air flow sensor $ 354.00

mmmmm...free air flow sensing.

Gee,

$354. I bought 1 for my 1992 and it cost about $110, and got $80 back when i took the old 1 in.
