i went to look at a new muffler and this guy was trying to show me this on it is a single inlet double outlet. but one is capped off and the other goes through the muffler .so one is like running straight pipe after the converter but when you cap it it runs through the muffler and out the pipe, it was an off brand at a local auto store i figured to take the cap off when going on the trail ? what does everyone else think? it says it is deep when it goes through the muffler then i should get more perfomance when i take the cap off? i dont know. any tips on this?

I'm not sure if running without any muffler would improve the performance any. I was told that these engines require a certain amount of backpressure to run at its best. Now how much I don't know, but somewhere there is a fine line between gaining the most performance out of the engine and losing performance. I think you might be better off running a hi-flow cat and a muffler which the pipe goes straight through like an Ulra-flo muffler. Also if you ever do replace your cat, see if they can move it back a little. This might help the RA bushing on the passenger side last a little longer. Hope this helps.
