A friend of mine came by to show me his new paint.
I really like this car!!
Also, he is looking for a 28 spline 9" posi unit. His limited slip doesn't cut it.

I think it has a 675 lift cam in it. The motor is fresh so he wouldn't get on it, but here is some pics, and a video link. At least you get to hear it

sweeeeeeeeeettttttttt, the rims need to go. Jt send me his engine so I can drop it in my ex.

Nice. but the rms take from the car. But nice.

That there is a 428 cj b'd and s'd to 450 mean cubes
forged bottom bad boy, he has an sts turbo for it at home---crazy

The driver side header is 2 piece, it wraps around the frame crossmemeber in front.
I don't like the rims either, but hey, I wasn't going to burst his bubble. I'd still drive it.

Is his car a true "R" or "Q"-code car? The 5th character in the serial number would be one or the other. Looks to be a 1968 or 1969 from the pics. I once owned a 1969 Formal Roof (Coupe - supposedly 1 of 60 ever made) Fairlane Cobra but never got it on the road before my ex, not Explorer, left and I sold it before the divorce. Your friend's car IS a nice car. I think a set of 14" or 15" Magnum 500 wheels or Plain Center Cap GT Chrome Wheels would dress it up a l'il more. Ver-r-ry nice though.

The 68-69 Torino was the upclass Fairlane (Torino-top series, Fairlane 500-middle series, and Fairlane-bottom series) I once owned a Fairlane 500 coupe-nice car for its time.

Lose the rims :thumbdwn: Throw some slots or some crager SS on it. I heard Crager is remaking the "SS" wheels again in bigger sizes. 20"'s :D
