7" or 8" Rims?

Hello,

Thinking about going the 31x10.5x15 route...

Still mulling over 30x9.5x15 as well...

Question is... Is there a benefit to using the 8" rim over the 7" rim?

I'll be going the Crager Soft 8 route.

Either was is the backspace the same 3.75"?

I have the AWD 1998 Eddie Bauer Edition. Stock 16's.

The backspace will likely be the same on both the 7" and 8" on those Cragars, so the extra inch will be on the outside.
Either size tire will work fine on the 7" rim, and either would work on the 8", the 31/10.5 would be better on the 8" rim though.
Are you lifted at all? I would check the tire fitment guide thread to see what works on your year and model...

Chart says 31x10.5x15 is as large as I should go.

Any fitment issues going from 16" to 15" on a AWD Eddie Bauer Edition? Calipers rubbing ect?
