Hi everyone I have a 2004 explorer eddie bower edition. I recently installed an aftermarket stereo and had a difficult time with that but its working wonderfully now. The only thing is that now the three buttons that are on the wood paneling that say reset, info, and setup no longer work. I am actually not 100% sure if they worked before I messed with installing the aftermarket stereo but I can assume it was connected and worked.
When I popped off the faceplate there was nothing connected to the buttons and there were only two connectors unused. Here are some pictures.

If you guys know of any ways to fix this it would be greatly appreciated. If there are any other ways to reset the oil change required message in the message center im all ears. Remove the negative cable from the battery to reset?

The first connector/wire pic is for the rear subwoofer. It is connector C290c.
The second connector/wire pic looks like it is for door speakers.

The message center connector C253 has 6 pins. Look for the wire harness that leads to the adjustable pedal pushbutton. It also connects to a temperature sensor nearby. It also connnects to the bottom of the instrument cluster up above the driver's right leg. Find that harness and work your way back. The message center pigtail and connector should split off that harness.

THank you FordFool2, the connector had fallen way back. I looked at the wiring under the instrument cluster and followed it back to the receiver area. Thanks again.
