Dissassemble Steering Column

I need to pull the part of the steering column from just behind the steering wheel to the gear shift. How do i do this, im parting out the truck so the entire dash is gone, steering column is loose, need to pull the steering wheel yet. Any ideas? COuld i sawzall it say 6" behind the gear shift without damaging anything I only need the ignition cylinder and the pieces around that.?

The ignition cylinder is just two screws and a pin. Anything else behind the wheel is going to need a steering wheel puller.
