Is it ok to tow on LPG (Liquid petroleum gas)?

My 1997 4.0 is fitted with LPG but i have heard some horror stories about towing on LPG. I have heard the engine operates at too high a teperature when under excessive pressure. Is this true?
Sorry for any confusion. LPG stands for liquid petroleum gas

ok first off for me anyways.... what is lpg?

Lpg stands for liquid petroleum gas. Its a conversion availible in the uk. This allow your vehicle to run on gas (simular to what you use to cook with) as well as petrol (gas in the u.s.a). The reason for the conversion is because gas is half the price of petrol.

LPG is aka Propane

Propane.. Thanks. It's always difficult to establish associated titles from different continets. So, will this shag my engine?
