Yeah, trying to divide the spending money between the two is driving me crazy  I'm hoping that the Focus just needs the initial investment, unlike the explorer which always needs something fixed.

How's the Focus doing for you - isn't it like the most recalled vehicle ever produced in America?

-Drew
Perhaps, and the 2001 is the worst. All the recalls that I know of have already been done to it. Other than the recalls, its reliability is sopposedly leaps above most North American Fords though.

Installed Euro headlights and grill last night. No more foggy chrome headlights

Why did you remove the lowering stuff?

I replaced it. ;)
I went from a used kit with 1.8" drop where I was rubbing the back tires if anyone else got in the car, to a new 1.6" drop and gained about 1" of clearance.

I still have the 1.8" springs that I can throw in in about an hour, so I can look cooler, vs. being more practical.

I removed the front Eibach swaybar to improve handling. I was getting lots of understeer with it in. I put the stock swaybar back in and now it is much more neutral with just a hint of oversteer.

I've now owned the Focus for 1 year and put 20,250 miles on it, and I've had fun every minute of it. :)
Gas mileage averages out to 26.6 mpg over the year.
