Madbutchers ****machine sas

Ok. . So i got a deal last night on a set of axles and i took it

It is a hp d44 from a 90 ford econline 4x4 build by a company in Canada (don't remember the name of the company ) and a rear dana 60 + 4 wheels
All cost me $545

This build will be slow and i have no rush. . Might take 3 months and might take 3 years :D

Plan is simple. . Gears and lockers front and rear. .
Get it bolted together and wheel it :D

Your getting along real good, I like your photo enthusiasm, it is the same with me, i take pictures of everything

I took pictures of a suzuki i built from 2009 to 2013 and looking back at them now Im thinking WOW, that was a lot of work, but it was so much fun!

I know you said you wouldn't be rushing things, 3 months or 3 years, but now that you are well on your way parts wise, how long you think until you start fitting the new axles underneath?

Thanx:thumbsup:

I realy don't know.. but i hope i can get some done when spring comes.. i would love to have it driveable late April.. but that's just wish thinking.. hahaha:D

If those are used U-bolts use them for mock up and then have new made for regular use. I don't trust used U-bolts because if they are over-tightened, then are stretched and the integrity is compromised. There has got to be a spring, U-bolt shop locally.

When you say local you mean USA. . Hehe. . Might get lucky If a ford or chevy dealer got a set.. No special shops over here :thumbdwn:

If a leaf spring, coil or U-bolt breaks in Norway, you have to send away to the USA to get a replacement? There is no one local that makes custom springs and U-Bolts? That's crazy.

They are readily available here in ICELAND... lol

All kinds of USA truck parts in stock

Looks like i might get my build going again..
I was forced to sell my first set of axles just to pay the bills.. but just found a "new" set of axles for a good price.. $365 for the pair:)

Rear axle is from a 2003 Ford F250 and the front axle is from a 2004.

Will get the axles home in a week or 2.. i will get complete axles with brakes, hubs and even leafs and driveshafts:D

Picture is from the rear axle donor:thumbsup:
