my gear shift handle broke off in my hands

The gear shifter on the column of my 2002 ford explorer broke off in my hand. I can still shift manually into reverse neutral and drive but can not get it into park. Is there a replacement for the shifter or (and I hope not) have to replace the whole steering column?
