ford actually offered the explorers with the interceptor package..... maybe not the interceptor persay but as special servie and high pursuit capable vehicles....

Sweet. I know a few fire stations around here have Explorers that they use, maybe those are the ones you're talking about.

i remeber seeing a 1994 explorer for sale on ebay that was used as a police vehicle. i thought that was pretty cool. but it had a LOT of miles on it.
