where to find a/c recharge kit that will fit?

all R134a low side ports are (s/b) the same size. they are a snap on fitting with internal threads to hold the plastic cover on. R12 ports are external thread. i recently recharged the A/C on my '97 Sport using the port on the accumulator. as suggested, check to make sure part of the plastic cap didn't break off inside the fitting.

Interesting that no one believes that I could possibly have measured it correctly and that it is smaller than the "standard" fittings. This in spite of my background in experimental physics, machining, and mechanics....
I truly was hoping to get actual support from a support forum.

Good luck getting people to help you with that attitude.

You are getting these responses because refrigerant fittings have been standard for a very long time, and you haven't posted a picture (or at least LINK to a picture of a similar fitting). Just because you know experimental physics doesn't mean you know how to service a truck's air conditioner.

been travelling so, no.

How can you expect us to help if you won't provide the information we need?
