Newbie Needs Knowledge

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased an 06 Mounaineer Premier V8. The thing is loaded from leather to a stage III/IV towing kit. I love it and I really would like to keep it. However, two weeks ago, four months after the initial purchase, the tranny started making a grinding whining noise from about 10-40 mph. I have done extensive research with no luck from the internet or mechanics around town. It has 105,000 miles on it right now. Wondering what you think! Hyperlinks always appreciated.
