My explorer is on it's third torque convertor. The factory one I broke changing the motor, the second one replaced under warranty, and the third is going great. All have made this rattle noise. I also know someone who's had his explorer since new, and heard his does it also, he said it has done...

I do know that the torque convertor bolted up just fine to the flywheel, and the transmission bolted to the motor, so i'm just assuming that everything should be ok, right, both motors looked identical

The motor that came out had a build date of 03/12/02, and the one that went in has a build date of 06/02, don't remember the exact date

Hey guys. I have a 2002 Eddie Bauer V8. my motor had spun a bearing so i went ahead and put another 4.6 in there. My problem is that everything is lined up, and bolted in. The engine runs and starts fine, but put it into gear and it doesn't even attempt to do anything. doesn't seem like slipping...
