    Engine Upgrade

    Hello, I have a stock 2003 Explorer V6, 4.0, and I the tranny is the 55r5. i was wondering if an 8 cyl will mount up to the transmission. I would like to replace the 6 cylinder with an 8 cyl, 4.6. Has anyone tried to do this and if so, please tell me your thoughts and experiences. Thanks
