    Your missing that part. Your's is only half of the actual part.I replaced mine about 4 years ago for about $20. It's a quick job.

    It opens and closes the water flow to the heater and should have a gray vacuum line attached. I'm assuming its stuck open so you'd only barely notice a slight decrease in a/c performance.

    rear wiper not touching

    The spring wears and doesn't apply the same amount of pressure as it ages. Replace the arm and you'll be good to go.

    Front wheel bearing question

    Won't be a problem. Just replaced both front on our 05 Mountaineer after about two years and both came out fine. They come out easier the second time than the first.
