transmissions

Im trying to pull my A4LD ? to R & R front seal. Haynes says there is a cover to remove, so as to access torque converter to flywheel bolts, NOT ON MINE.... there does seem to be a two part bellhousing, can I pull the tranny back to access these bolts without passing "point of no return" ...

hey all, just got done doing the usual oil change on my 03 ST XLT, and i was wondering whether i should change out my tranny fluid. ive read a ton of stuff on this forum and like everyone, have heard horror stories about tranny fluid flushes and changes leading to disasters. the usual advice...

While replacing the modulator valve I lost the pin.... I know, I know, I'm an idiot. Anyways I have tried several transmission shops and local parts stores in my area with no luck as well as the local junk yards.. none of which are willing to part with just the pin (ofcourse)... So does anyone...

Will a 95 to 00 ford ranger tranny fit my explorer? my tranny is pretty close to death (240,000) miles, if so is it possible to convert to a manual transmission or 4x4? trying to mod exploder if possible. Thanks Mike
