2002 Explorer Sport Trac question

my 2 door Explorer sport track doors are both a little off, they dont shut without having to really slam thus possibly causing The power window in the driver door to no longer work as if it came loose.. it works intermittently . Does anyone know if I'm on the right path thinking that something has come loose and a fix.. or is it possible that the motor or regulator needs replacing

Start by checking for broken or missing door striker bushings.

Regarding the drivers power window, very common to find broken wire(s) in the door hinge boot.
If not wiring, door panel removal to access the power window motor. BTW, 2 door is a Sport, not Sport Trac.
