BEL 820 question

I just purchased a BEL-820 and i dont know how to install it. Isnt it usually attached to the cigarette lighter? This only has an attachement that looks like is nothing like a cigarette lighter attachment. can anyone help? Thanks.

Sounds like you need to hardwire it. Just splice it in a power circuit that is only hot when the ignition is on.
