Hello,

Just need some clarification, im just baffled, I am trying to see if the inertia switch works for my 2005 explorer v6, I tried to pressed it down, but it doesnt go down, it just springs back to its position, I tried this on my 2003 explorer v6and it did the same, should i feel it coming down as a switch is designed to be? or i wont be able to see it engage because its inside? i looked some videos on youtube, but not the same year of explorer, and they said the switch goes down when you press it, could you guys help me out thank you!

This is a reset switch that needs to be momentarily depressed following an impact. Don't expect it to stay in the "reset" position after you depress it. It spring returns to normal position.
