'96 XLT
Hi everyone. I know that this question has been all over the place, but I need to get it clarified so I don't make any mistakes (that aren't of my own stupidity of course) on what I need to get in order to lift my '96 X 3" on the body. The reason is I have noticed on a couple of threads that 2 different kits are needed. A 97 Ranger from driver forward and a 94 Xplorer kit from the back seats to tthe rear. Is this really what needs to be done? Because I have also seen other threads people that only use the 97 kit or the 98 kit due to steering cable issues with the 97 kit. As far as I know my X is just the standard '96 with the exceptions of the few mods I've done to it already. You know, the V6 OHC XLT version, etc. Thanks for the help :)

1995-1997 Explorer use PA 853 plus fabricated bumper brackets as shown below.. and the 1998-2001 Explorer use PA 883 without any modified bumper brackets..
