Congrats!

We're at 188k and running smooth & strong. 2nd owner after purchasing with 32k miles in 1997. No complaints what-so-ever.

where in NC are you fellow carolinian?

congrats....

Right behind you with my '97 Mounty at 190,500. Still going strong with lots of baling wire and duck tape..

congrats and what better of a day to spend with ur explorer sport!

Congrats, my parents expo is creeping up on 200k also. Its around 190k or so right now.

thx everyone this girl is going to go the "distance of the moon" 500,000 miles because no one else will have her except for me...and also i may add original engine and transmission now thats rare...although did see an ohv at the junkyard today like mine with 260k

I think the 95-96 OHV and the 4spd 4R55E are an excellent reliable combo. The later 5spd trans had some issues as well as the SOHC with the tensioner issue.

There is a guy around here who sells mostly used explorers and sells either 95-96 ohvs, v8s, and ohvs with manual trans. Many have 150K -200K miles when sold, and there are few issues(so he told me!). He told me if that trans is maintained at the 20K severe service interval it can last a very long time.

Wow congrats guys. I'm coming up on the big 100,000.
