I have found some tires that i want VERY badly, however i HATE the rims on em. Does anybody know if 31x10.50x15 tires would fit on the stock explorer rims? I know that they will fit with the stock lift (barely)(im lifting it 2" soon anyway)

and what would i have to do to make this happen? take it to a tire shop?

After even more searching i found that post.

now i'm just curious about what it would require to switch the wheels?

No lift- 31x10.50x15 on 15x8 inch or stock rims

...and it cost about $10 tire to have them swapped, balanced and mounted..;)

30's and 31's fit fine on the stock 15x7 rims.

Take your ride with the stock wheels on it to the tire shop with the tires you want swapped, and they'll put 'em on. It usually is about $10/ea.

If your old tires are in ok shape but you don't want to keep them, you might ask the tire shop if they'll mount your old tires on the j**p wheels (but not balanced or changed valve stems or any of that) for free or a few bucks, then you can just list the wheels you bought together with your old tires and maybe make some money back. Even if your old tires are in cruddy shape, you can at least sell the rims.
