2004 SVT Cobra wheels on my 98?

I have a 98 Explorer, wanting to know if the tire width will clear?

They are 17x9s and 275 wide tread.

Also, if anybody has this setup, post pics!

As the owner of a 2004 Cobra, I can tell you that you need to compare tire heights, etc...and I'll leave it at that.

Not the exact wheel you are speaking of but here are some Cobra wheels with 255 60 17 tires

you need to compare the sizes of your stock tire setup to that of the cobra wheels/tires you want to put on. if they are relatively close you'll have no problem, what are the numbers on each set of tires? like the width/sidewall/radius?

mine is 235/75R15
give us those specs from both set of tires, and we can help further

The tires I have now are 255/70R16 on the stock 16" wheels.

The 03/04 Cobra wheels are 275 width on 17" rims

its only 20mm wider. you shouldnt have any issues.

Those are 18's? Maybe its just the angle of picture, but they look smaller than that. Im guessing 17" 03 Cobra takeoff rims would look REALLY small! Maybe I should look into getting some 20"s or larger. Obviously they wouldnt be Cobra rims though

Width, youll probably be fine, BUT there is an almost 4.5" difference in height between stock 275/40/17 cobra tires, and your 255/70/16
