how was the weekend? any breakage?

I ended up camping with friends and family at manastash camp. tons of trails there. found our way to the funny rocks. good wheelin.

We started in the Deer Gulch side (West of SR97) and had a good time. Fun trails there.

Sunday we ran the 319 up to Lions Rock.

Nothing permanantly broken. I heard a loud bang trying to get up the rock section and the front tires stopped spinning. When I did get up it, Kevin went under and spun the drive shaft (while out of 4x4) and we locked the hubs independantly and nothing seemed to be wrong.

Shifted back into 4x4/4low and continued on with no problems or odd noises.

The only thing I can think of is the T-case wasn't solidly in 4x4 and shifted out of 4x4 but was still in 4-low, if that can happen?:thumbdwn:

Paul got a VM from home and decided he should head out Sunday afternoon after we reached Lions Rock. I headed out Monday morning at the kid's urging (I think TV withdrawls finally took hold)

I don't have any still pic's, I was trying to shoot video (analog:rolleyes:) Now I have to try to convert analog to digital and figure out how to post it.

Great Trip!

Hey Phil, Kevin, and Ken -

First of all, thanks for coming out (again) to Liberty.

Second, good news on the home front - - no re-break according to X-Rays (lucky thing she was wearing the brace), so just a painful fall...

Here's a few pics from Sunday...

More pics! all I have is video and I still have to convert it to digital

I will eventually get to my pics, but for now I'll tell you about the trail on Monday. We did the "Shoestring" trail that starts there by Hole in the Rock. that was a very well marked trail with direction arrows at every intersection. Phil, that is also the trail where the mine is at. Anyway, the trail wound it's way through some medows and then took a hard right into a very technical and tightly wooded area of trees. Had it been wetter out there, it would have made for a very difficult trail. Lot's of fun!!!!!!

More Pics?

Here you go. . .
