Picked this thing up for $100.00, owner said it had terrible knock. PO did not know how to drive a stick and said he would over-rev it really high at times. I took it out and found a hole on the side of the pan and the block, found number six rod had broken in two. Enjoy the pics!!

Looks like time for a new engine!

Wow, he must have REALLY been over-revving it. I think if you stuck a brick on the gas pedal it wouldn't blow up, or at least the heads would give out first. Engine must have been severely neglected if it snapped a rod like that. Damn.

Good deal though, $100 plus a few hundred for a new motor and you could be running for less than $1000. Is there anything else wrong with it?

Nice, I had a friend who did that on a 4 banger Buick skyhawk only the rod went threw the block and was found lodged into the radiator... The engine would still start somehow though.

Nothing else wrong, lots of miles around 200k, plan on rebuilding an engine I have and the trans, t-case and diffs.

Crazy thing is this thing still started, knocked horribly but started and got it up on a trailer.
