this is my first explorer. its a 97 xlt 5.0 v-8 awd 60k on new moter 40k on tranny. let me know what u think...

Yea i would like to,can you give me some ideas on what to do first.? Can i possibly go with a 225-60-15 on this ..........any idea on mods will be helpful...thanks.

If your wanting to know if they'll fit, they should since thats a smaller size than stock and are you wanting to go street or weekend wheeler with it that will help everyone know the kind of mods you want.

no off roading here just the street...would like it to have that lower aggressive stance..

i dont suggest lowering it. my friend just lowered his 98 5.0 about 4 inches and it rides so rough that i dont even like being in it.

dont really want to lower it with springs and things like that, just with a lower profile tire, just need some advice on the lowest and widest tire i can put on the factory rims untill i find new rims..thanks

i was thinkin maybe exhaust or intake and sct tune it and clear corners and system and etc

ya i like that, im going to clear the corners this week and look into a cold air kit. i have an amp and subs just not in it yet. trying to figure how to install with the factory system cause i like the 6 disk changer.but like i said i would like to get the 235-75-15 off and some lower,wider street tire on it..thanks for the ideas...

well i just got this and it has a really nice sounding exaust on it. my wife loves the deep rumble. so for now ill keep it. i think thats why she drives it..lol..thanks again for the advice i just went out to look at the exaust from what i can see after the cat or resinator(not sure its pouring down rain) it goes from one into two stainless pipes runs about 4ft then into one muffler with nothing after the muffler. is that the normal exaust?...thanks

what kind of exhaust does it have do u got flowmaster or what. I got single in and dual out 40 series flowmasters on my sport but i am going to get true dual exhaust.

so what about that exaust? does that sound about right? the muffler is just under back floorboard.thats it, no exaust from muffler to the back
