I have been on this site for a while now and havnt done to much posting so i thought i would start out by showing the explorer sport.

i got this from craigslist barley running for 750 bucks with brand new 31x10.50 bfg all terrians on it.

right after i got it i did the normal maintance stuff, replaced the auto hubs(with autos) flushed the radiator, changed the spark plugs and wires, made a custom short ram intake out of some spare ic pipe i had.
replaced the bearings, all the ball joints, inner and out tie rods, brakes and rotors. struts, slave cylinder,
it came with a heavy duty clutch and lightened flywheel, and new short arms.
i had it for about 2 years when i went to a junk yard to pick up a motor for my buddies 01 camaro and the guy said he had a 4 inch pro comp lift he would sell me for 150 bucks. so i snatched it up and just got done putting it on, the only thing wrong with the kit is the steering stabilizer is all jacked up so i didnt put it on, just going to buy a new one, but still i think it is worth is considering i only paid 150 bucks for it and it came with a whole new leaf pack not an add a leaf set.

my future plans are to add around 3-5 more inches of lift by doing a soa conversion and not really sure what im going to do for the front at this point. and looking to get some 33x12.50s for it.
here are some pics of it though before and after.

oh ya got some manual locking hubs for it to just havnt put them on

thanks, just got the manual hubs put on too,

so quik question with the setup i have now, if i did the soa conversion what would i need to do to match the front with the rear?

yes you would,
do the SOA and the back will be 5 inches higher than the front,, getting 5 inches more in front is not so easy with ttb,, usually takes SAS in front to get that,

dang i was affraid of that, hmmm so its going to be awhile down the road then, the manual hubs are much better though and look better

if i was to get the f150 coil spacers for the front and the shackle lift for the rear would i still need to worry about my camber or is it just put it on and all is good to go

From what I understand and have experienced with TT (lifting and lowering) anything that changes the height of the front is going to throw camber off to some degree. changing the height in the rear will mess with the caster

If you were to put your stock rear leafs back in, then do an SOA, you'd have about 1.5" of rake. If you try it with 4" lift leafs, you'd never be able to match the front... that would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 9.5" of lift... And there's no reason for that kind of lift on an RBV rocking the TTB up front...

Do you need more height or why do you want to do the SOA?

i just like the way it looks is pretty much the only reason

just painted the front axle and some other things black, came out really nice

I dig the black paint job. Eventually I'm doing a 4 inch lift on my first gen sport so the diff doesn't drag in the sand when beach driving. 4 inches is just right.

Ya last time i took her out to the outer banks if i had this lift on it i wouldnt have gotten stuck in a rut

finally got ahold of some dunlop mud rovers 33x12.5 for 200 bucks there used but have alot of life left in them, then got some 15x8 crager rims(not sure how to spell that) for pretty cheap, there getting mounted and balanced right now. i ordered some 2in spacers for the front and rear in case theres a clearence issue

you wont clear 33x12.50 on 4" of lift without cutting the fender wells and spacers will make it worse!!i would just put a 3" body lift on it,that and the 4" lift will clear 33x12.50.

just found out that the fenders need some trimming, i already started doing it though. turns out i dont need the spacers though.

going to finish trimming the fenders tomorrow, then order the perches for the soa tonight and get the f150 coil spacers and call it good at around 6 or so inches of lift sittin on 33s. then ill just need to regear it
