Well I have a 2003 with a 2.25" lift and rolling on 32's. I put the 32's on myself with the little jack that came with the car....really scary and barely worked. I also just had to change a flat while on a trail, but only had 245's on. Luckily my friend had a floor jack, or not....we had to use rocks under that in conjunction with the factory one. Now that was terrifying.

So I was looking at high lift jacks, but there are no exterior lift points on these 3rd gens. Don't want an air jack. Not sure if they make floor jacks that fit this application. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I got floor jack and 2 jack stands from advance auto parts....the jack is the "suv" model and has an extension that lets you get a lot of lift...I can get my truck off the floor with the 265s on just fine.

It was only 50 bucks I think.

For the trail hmm I don't know...you could carry that floor jack and a 12x12 piece of steel or really thick wood

Down here we've got an attachment for high lifts that fit the normal jacking points of the truck. I'll see if I can find it so you can have a squiz.

Thanks for your help guys. I'm going to definitely look into these options. :)

For the occasional use (not for the garage), I'd just get a taller bottle jack - they are compact and easy to use. Hi-lifts are nice but they are bulky and can be dangerous, and there's a good chance that it will damage the body as it leans over (it pivots at the base). Carry around a small piece of 2x6 wood and you'll have a good base for the bottle jack.

Bottle jack always worked for me. I carry a 12x12x2 piece of hardood for the base. My buddy uses a hi lift jack in his front and rear reciever. never had an issue there ether but I don't like it.
