big block 93 explorer

ok guys hear is the begining
if you have been to my page you would of seen this truck

ok now I sold the cab of the truck do to an offer i couldnt turn down


the truck has

a dyno'd 600hp big block 460
c6 auto with level 2 shift kit
np205 transfer case
9inch rear with 4:11 gears and a yukon chromoly spool
danna 44 front with 4:11 gears and yukon chromoly axle shafts
38.5x16x15 mt claws
15x10n mt alcoas


UP FIRST was finding a body how about a bone stock 93 explorer for 300

the explorer hadnt been regesterd in 7 years

ok so now do i transfer every thing over nah cab swap

ok the 79 frame is longer but the wheel base is the same

as you can c the fram is longer
the biggest problem i found ws the frames are opposit. the explorer is higher in the front than the 79 f150

shorten frame
figur out radiator
figur out body mounts

i cut off the front and back
then cut out the bottum of the core suport for the new griffen radiator

6 of 10 body mounts done
radiator in frame shortend
hood back on

day three will consist of the last body mounts
custom fender exit headers and new exhaust

you can put filler plates in between the front radiator frame and the front body mount extention to help brace it.

finish body mounts
build 2inch custom fender well exit headers
build custom long arms front and back
convert ear to coil
put iner fender wells back in
cut off the back and wall it in
mount the 24000 pound ramsey winch back on the front with custom bumper
mount 8000 pount waen on back with custom bumper

i dont think this is a popular swap so thats why im not realy doing a how to just a build and any feed back is great. The main reason im doing this swap is my boy is coming of age and can come wheelin now. So my wife and i figurd swap it to a suv.

also has any one cut the back off one of these and walled it i would like to see some photos before i wack into mine.I'v seen it done to the b2 a million times, I plan'd on using the back of a ranger cab

i think so to when its done i would like to bring it back down 2 inches add the hydo bump stops and coil overs but i dont think that is ganna be any time soon the add on's any way should be done in about 2 weeks
