HID replacements for Foglamps?

Yes, the bulbs are 9005. You might want to check and make sure the slim ballasts from DDM aren't still on backorder before you place your order. I was hearing reports of that on another forum.

Is the HID installable for the headlamp as well? (instead the fog lamp)

Is it just the bulb, or is there a kit?

Thanks in advance!

Just to clarify..... the 9005´s are for the headlights right ?
Whats the bulb for the fog lights ?

Yes, headlight bulbs are 9005. The fogs are H11.

I do too have the DDM Tuning kit for my Infiniti's Fog lights, I picked the 5k bulbs for a little blue color. Plan to do the same with my wife new EX.

these are some pics after the install

At ddm they list those kits-bulbs and ballasts for $40. Thats awful inexpensive, I have had to order bulbs from Acura and BMW and the bulbs alone were from 175 to 225 each. I would like to do this but I dont want to be like the little Hondas that run around constantly with a burned out light...

Here are a few shots. The lights are pure white. Beam cutoff is clean and Sharp. I adjusted the lights after installing the HIDs and there is no distracting dazzle to oncoming motorists. Best $45.00 investment I made.

eddieguy, thanks, definatley going down this route. for $45 im guesing you went with the 35 watt kit?

Great, got them from the DDM website on friday, (the 35w kit) but beware, they ARE on backorder, got an email from them saying that id have to wait from 2 to 4 weeks to arrive.

im thinking im might go with the 55 watt kit.

I have both in different vehicles, 55w and 35w. Careful with the 55's. I only learned afterward that the bulbs are 35w and they are just overpowered To 55w versus being true 55w bulbs. You will not see a discernible difference between 35 and 55w. Plus the 35w is easier on the alternator. Great upgrade though.

In this image you can see the HIDs of the MB ML350 and they look a little dim, mine are PURE white.

unless you have a projector housing, which we don't at the fog light, you shouldn't go with 55w. The light are too scatter that you will blind other drivers.

VLED has a good kit also, a little more expensive than DDM tuning. If you don't want to wait, then you can check out vled.

$59.99 right now

you

You should properly aim the lamps after installing the HIDs so as not to blind oncoming drivers. I actually had to raise one lamps aim and drop the others. Ive never had a car come with properly aimed headlights yet.

So has anyone changed their fogs out to the 35W HID on there new Ex yet? Curious on results with the Vleds or DDm kit.

We got our Ex on Thursday. I'm awaiting delivery of our DDM kits. Once installed I'll post more photos.

Fog Light enhancement

I, too, would be interested in the conversion. I had planned to simply replace the H11 stock bulbs with H11 yellow bulbs, but this conversion (DDM/ V-LEDS) appears to be a better solution, and not that much more expensive.
