Anyone running the Super Swamper M-16's? They have fantastic reviews and I have a good friend with a 09' JK and he has run them and swears he will never buy another tire. Ive wheeled with him and they perform beautifully! Quite on the freeway as well. He has 27K on them and it has another 10-15K left. He runs them sipped to. Anyways his are 37 13.50 17R. Same tire im looking at.

Just curious if others have run them and their experiences with them.

I dont have experience with the SS-M16 but I've had Interco tires before and I don't really like like (as in "super duper like") the compound they use. That's not to say they wont work because the SX's I used to run did just fine, its just I think there are better compounds out there - although they may be more expensive (havent looked at prices in a while), like the BFG KM/KM2s.

I did look into those. The BFG KM2's. I cant find a single person that really liked them. At best they just said they where okay and would nver buy them again. Chad is one of those and he wore through a whole set.

I agree with what you said on the compounds of their tires. I am not a fan at all of most SS tires. Iroks, boggers, etc. This M16 is supposed to be a much much better freeway tire. A tire that actually works besides just offroad. My friend has had fantasic luck with them which is why Im looking into them.

Other tire is the GY MTR's. But reviews show them to be a little louder and they they can somtimes be vey difficult to keep in balance. Plus their snow performance seams a little worse than the M16's. I would sipe any tire I got though.

Alright well all set to try out the M-16's. :) I found them for $369 a tire in Salt Lake City. I also have several emails with my conversations and the companies responses to my questions and concerns. They have a full free tire replacement in the first 10% of tread life. So any tyoe of out of round or balance issues will be taken care of right away! I hink ill be the only one on the forum running these tires so Ill post a review after I start wheeling them.

Here they are!!!!!!

Congrats on the new meats! A follow up review on these is def needed.

I am seriously thinking of the MTR Kevlars myself, and selling my new ProComp MT's. Just not enough sidewall lugs, and not enough sidewall protection on them for me.

I run a set of KM2's on a diff rig, and couldn't be more happy with them in anything but snow. Chad had 50k on his when he got rid of them BTW. Any tire is gonna bring the suck with that many miles. Aired down, they grab, claw, conform, and come to life. No remorse with them whatsoever for the trails. He also uses his rig as a DD, and gets little wheeling time, lives in a major city, and understandable with his use of them.

Interesting. Agreed with his situation just didnt like what he thought of their snoq performance and I LOVE snow wheeling. So that was my big seller on these, and these most definitely have side lugs and that huge ring you can see for sidewall protection on slick rock. 10 ply tread 3 ply sidewalls. Also since its the M-16 it has bullets formed into the sidewall lugs. Looks awesome. Super excited to run them in 4 months.
